Unbelievable, but true - they have started publishing Psyren here! I have already bought me the first volume and I'm really hoping it will be popular enough to be published entirely, it would suck if they stopped after a couple of volumes. Anyhow, I have it and I'm happy.

More happiness - I just watched the first episode of Kuroko no Basket... And it was awesome! I liked the animation, I liked the voices, the practice game was so cool, and the music is great and basically it exceeded my expectations on every aspect!

Talking about that, for those who don't know it yet, there is a new Kuroko no Basket comm, and the great thing about it is, it's practically unmoderated, so you don't have to be afraid that the mods will fall on you like a ton of bricks for posting low quality material XD Go join it here: [livejournal.com profile] mira_gen

On a completely unrelated note, if anyone else actually watches Area no Kishi, was it just me, or was Takajo's appearance in episode 13 was a totally cool moment? XD That music and how the camera (well, not the camera, since it's an anime, but you know what I mean) slowly slides up his body, and his whole behaviour, and how his teammates suddenly got all polite and deferential xDD Takajo is the pimp there, for sure XD

Psyren! I know, I know, I said the ending sucks and I told you all not to read this series whatever you do because you'll get heartbroken for life... But I completely accidentally started re-reading it, and was overwhelmed by how awesome this manga is! So basically, I do recommend it for everyone to read. Just, idk, pretend that ending was different or something.

Shingeki no Kyojin - and now we're off to creepy land D: Or rather, a land even creepier than Psyren. In this manga most of the humanity has been devoured by nearly invincible giants named Titans. The miserable remains of the humankind are hiding behind 50m high walls and hoping those will protect them from Titans. Too bad it doesn't quite work like that... This is where our hero Eren and his adoptive sister Mikasa come in. Although it is not known whether they will be able to save the world or die trying (more likely, since just about every character dies a horrible gruesome death here).

And the third rec is something more light-hearted, although not for the weak of stomach XD Ito Junji's Cat Diary - a manga by a well-known horror manga author, in which he describes his everyday life with cats. And since he is a horror manga author, the art style is very much like in a horror manga, so no cute kitties or anything here XD

Also, I'm leaving for my interpreting job tomorrow morning, so wish me luck, or better yet, wish me not to forget the little German that I know...

blah blah irl stuff blah )

Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] illusioncandy, for mentioning Area no Kishi in your LJ - it caught my interest and I already read quite a bit of it! It's a really great manga, especially because it's about football - there are not many sports that I actually watch irl and know something about, so it's cool to read and actually understand what is going on in those games XD

That said, the manga is totally sad, I really cried at those particular chapters... Good thing it got better later, I could not handle it if it were that tragic all the time.

And it's really great news that it will get an anime, I'll definitely watch it! Although I might skip the sad episodes.

Talking about manga, did you guys read the latest Ao no Exorcist chapter? Wtf was that with Yukio and his eyes? if he turns into a demon, I'm dropping this manga :/

Continuing the topic of manga, I finished reading Psyren... And it was kind of bad :( From what I heard, the ratings were low and the author was told to wrap things up quickly, so the ending was all over the place and so anti-climactic, it really disappointed me. Everything but the last 10-15 chapters was perfect, why did the end have to be like that! So unfair, it spoiled all my impressions about the previous chapters. I should have known, the manga was too good to be true.

boring irl stuff )

I've just finished watching the jdrama "My Boss, My Hero". It was quite an amusing and at the same time touching story.

I've started watching Yu Yu Hakusho, and for such an old series it's surprisingly good. The art is not much to look at, but I like how fast-paced and action-packed the episodes are.

I've read all of the available Sket Dance, and at some point they were making really dirty jokes XD I was like "You guys, stop that, only Gintama is allowed to have that sort of toilet humour, don't you dare upstage Gintama" XD

I've read al of the available Yankee-kun to Megane-chan. The manga is already completed, so is my google-fu failing, or have the last chapters just not been translated yet? Because I could not locate them anywhere, and I want to see Izumi-kun just one more time...

I've almost finished reading Psyren, and it definitely is one of the best manga series I've ever read! I will probably finish it tonight...

My very own LJ comm [livejournal.com profile] katsuratama is doing splendidly, it already has 8 members, and I haven't even advertised it anywhere yet ^__^ I think it needs some more entries before I can actually advertise it in the main gintama comm, but anyhow, we have already had quite fruitful discussions about our favourite terrorist revolutionary, and some of the things mentioned there really made me see him in a new light. Analysing each episode takes some time, but I'm glad I made that comm.

And Monday's Gintama episode looks like it's going to be awesome, I'm so looking forward to it!

You guys, you guys, go read the manga Psyren now!

It's too awesome for words, I've been reading it for the past couple of days and it's so epic!

it's like Gantz, only less gross.

Go read it! Seriously, you will not regret it!
